Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search box is sent to the outside company that operates that search. The provider processes the entry and supplies its result. Sevier County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained long enough to review and answer it. The message is not voluntarily distributed outside the organization, though disclosure may occur when a valid legal duty requires it.

Sevier County Criminal History does not maintain, sell, or compile a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Sevier County sheriff and court clerks, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, the Tennessee Department of Correction, and the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into a consumer report or a third-party criminal record. This resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Outside companies power the search tools. Information entered there is governed by the selected provider's privacy policy, retention rules, and sharing practices. We do not set those rules. Review the provider's notice before sending a query or account information.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Sevier County offices, Tennessee agencies, courts, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy terms control the visit. Advertising providers may also use their own systems to measure activity across sites; that processing is not performed on our servers.

Tennessee's Public Records Act, T.C.A. §§10-7-503 through 10-7-505, concerns access to government records, while T.C.A. §38-6-120 addresses official criminal-history dissemination. Neither makes this private resource the custodian of Sevier County government files.
